WHO WE ARE

We are proud of the work we do to support the deaf and hard of hearing community, for example, over the last five years, we have trained a number of young deaf apprentices through our Apprenticeship Scheme, many of whom have successfully gone onto further training or employment, with those who have not, reporting significant improvements in every aspect of their lives. We are committed to removing the barriers to achievement for deaf young people, particularly for those who are not in education, employment or training – often described as being NEET. We are an organisation that listens to the needs of the deaf community and responds appropriately. We ensure that the service users are in the driving seat concerning new projects and initiatives tailored to their requirements, and we offer our knowledge and support to breakdown any barriers. Some of the issues people may require our support includes

  • Assistance accessing services and information
  • Informing you of your rights
  • Signposting to appropriate services
  • Making a complaint
  • Issues with your employer
  • Requiring an Interpreter
  • Requiring translation
