BSL Level 1 | 30 weeks | Blackburn
BSL Level 1 | 30 weeks | Burnley
BSL Level 1 | 30 weeks | Preston
BSL Level 1 | 30 weeks | Lancaster

BSL level 1 consists of three 10-week stages. Students can choose to do only one or two stages, or go through all three stages. At the end of each stage students will attend assessments and receive a certificate of achievement awarded by ELDS. Each stage costs £70 and you can pay as you go. Those who wish to take all three stages and pay in one
go, the discounted price for this is £180.

If you are looking at BSL as a career option and want to gain an accredited BSL level 1 qualification with Signature, you can apply to do the necessary assessments at the end of the third stage. This will be charged separately.

If you compare our prices to other BSL training providers, you will see a difference. This is because we do not aim for profit – we want to see a positive change in society.

Send e-mail to training@elds.org.uk or phone 01772 250117 for enquiries or to book your place.

BSL level 2 also available.

BSL for Schools (Sign It)

Sign It is basic BSL taught in local mainstream schools, hearing children can learn basic BSL and Deaf awareness so that they can communicate with their Deaf and hard of hearing peers. We use different fun methods such as games and play and adjust the difficulty level depending on their age and level. This is achieved usually in 10 week visits, one hour per week. Contact Community Services Director Chantelle de la Croix for more information: chantelle.delacroix@elds.org.uk.
